In week 4 of our COVID-19 Food Relief Campaign, we distributed 1,288 pounds of animal food. We reached the communities of Colonia Dolby, Franco Flats, Gravel Bay, the east side of AKR, and the Colonia Balfate.
In Colonia especially, the need is immense. In a short time frame, we distributed 722 pounds in this neighborhood alone.
It’s hard to believe that we are now headed into week 5 of this endeavor. Six months ago, we couldn’t have even imagined being in this situation.
Now, working alongside the SOL International Foundation and Roatan Because We Care, we are surrounded daily by a group of amazing people that are rallying together to help our island get through this pandemic. It’s inspiring.
We are only entering into week 5 because of the generous financial donations our community of supporters continues to send. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Last week, we were unsure we would even have enough food to get through the first day or two. Thanks to you all, we were able to provide for these communities and are already in action on week 5. If you are able to do so, please keep contributing so we can keep ordering, packing, and distributing for as long as it takes to get through this.
